The competitor quote that is missing a line item
The scenario:
A prospect shows you a competitor's quote and asks why yours costs more. The competitor's quote does not include patch management, after-hours support, or a security layer you consider non-negotiable.
The prospect is not being difficult. They are comparing two numbers without knowing one of them is missing a third of what you deliver. Their sales team will not volunteer that gap, because silence works in their favor until the client notices on their own.
Point at the gap yourself, calmly and specifically. It beats waiting for them to notice after they've signed.
The prompt:
You are building a neutral quote comparison for an MSP up against a cheaper competitor.
Context: [the last three competitor quotes a prospect has shown you, with each quote's line items, alongside your own standard package]
Build:
A short, neutral comparison
Exactly what the cheaper quote leaves out, named specifically, without naming the competitor
