NIP WEEKEND SURPRISES IN THE BUD

Most outages aren’t caused by attackers but by untracked changes. Luckily, a simple addition to your process – a brief weekly digest – can help prevent confusion, avoid unpleasant surprises, and maintain client confidence.

The scenario:

You need to generate a lightweight change summary for internal and client visibility at the end of the week.

The prompt:

You are the service delivery manager of an MSP, and need to create a brief change summary to enhance visibility. Here’s the PSA export: [ paste data, including engineer name, change type, risk level, client ]:

  1. Create a 7-day calendar of upcoming and completed changes.

  2. Flag high-risk or out-of-hours items.

  3. Add rollback plans and owners.

  4. Write a client-safe summary email for Monday, 9 a.m.

  5.  Include a short intro explaining the value of visibility and control.
