The client you lost is still thinking about you

Losing a client stings. But most MSPs never follow up after the exit.

The client who left six months ago has probably hit the same problems with their new provider. They’re comparing experiences right now. Your silence tells them you didn’t care.

The scenario:

You want to re-engage a former client who left for a competitor 3–6 months ago.

The prompt:

You’re writing a win-back email to a former client.

Context: [paste what you know about why they left and their current situation]

Write a 120-word email that:

  • Opens by acknowledging the relationship, not the departure

  • References a specific improvement you’ve made since they left

  • Offers something of value with no strings attached (audit, report, insight)

  • Closes with a low-pressure next step

Tone: Confident, not desperate. You’re offering, not begging.
