TURNING HAPPY CLIENTS INTO REFERRALS

Your happiest clients are your best salespeople – if you actually ask them.

Most MSPs wait for referrals to happen organically. They rarely do. Meanwhile, your satisfied clients know dozens of business owners who need exactly what you provide. They’d gladly introduce you – they just need a prompt and a reason.

The scenario:

You’ve just delivered a successful project or received positive feedback. You want to ask for a referral without making it awkward.

The prompt:

You’re asking a happy client for referrals.

Context: [paste recent win, positive feedback, or project completion]

Write a short email or talk track (~100 words) that:

– Thanks them for the kind words or successful partnership

– Explains that referrals are how you grow (honest, not pushy)

– Makes it easy by asking for a specific type of introduction

– Offers to make the intro low-effort for them (you’ll do the outreach)

Tone: Grateful, direct, confident – not desperate.
